Air Liquide Romania has been present in the domestic market since 1999, and is a nationally recognized gas producer and supplier of technologies, services and gases for the food and beverage industry, large industries, the automotive industry, healthcare and the environment. Air Liquide Romania has a team of nearly 80 employees serving industrial customers.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for Health, Safety, and Environmental domains, responsible for leading HSE activities, studies, ensuring regulatory compliance through proactive follow-up, and implementing risk reduction strategies

1. HSE Support & Facilitation

* Responsible for coordinating environmental studies, conducting appropriate follow-ups to achieve environmental regulatory compliance and proposing risk reduction measures.
* Support the HSEQ Director in deploying environmental awareness campaigns and sustainability initiatives.
* Provide support to Facility Managers on all aspects of HSE activities, particularly those defined by local HSE-specific legislation (as Health & Safety Inspector, Fire Fighting Technician/Civil Protection Inspector, Environmental Specialist).
* Conduct regular site safety inspections in all AL locations and identify, assess, and document potential hazards and risks.
* Support health and safety risk assessments by utilizing the Job Hazard Analysis methodology.

2. HSE Compliance & Risk Management
* Supporting the specialists in the preparation of HSE studies (including safety risk assessments and JHAs), conducting follow-ups to ensure full compliance.
* Perform or supervise outsourced regulatory watch to ensure continuous compliance with evolving laws and standards.
* Propose and implement effective risk reduction measures based on study findings.

3. HSE Program Implementation & Improvement
* Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Subsidiary's HSE processes in compliance with Group requirements.
* Contribute to the definition of the annual HSE program and objectives.
* Support Facilities and Activities in the implementation and follow-up of HSE programs and the proper address of hazards via control measures.

Are you a MATCH?

Education

* Engineering, technical, safety, industrial hygiene degree, or equivalent qualification (see training & certifications section)
* At least one or more of the following additional professional qualification(s) in the HSE domains is a plus: Occupational Safety and Health Risk Assessor, internal auditor (ISO Standards)

* Good knowledge and understanding of HSE regulations, applicable codes and standards, local health and safety laws and regulations.
* Good knowledge of the organization, industrial operations and related risks.
* Good knowledge of Process Risk and Road Safety management fundamentals.
* Good knowledge of Human and Organizational Safety Factors.
* Good knowledge of the Group and Subsidiary industrial management system.

Work Experience & Know How:

* HSE, Process risk, industrial audit, system management, and/or industrial operations management.
* Understanding of process safety and HSE aspects (hazards, barriers, tools and methods, human factors)
* Thorough understanding of causal-effect correlations.
* Leading health and safety risk assessments through the Job Hazard Analysis methodology and ensuring that the proposed hazard control measures will properly address occupational health and safety risks
* Act as an RCA Facilitator, ensuring the proper use of Root Cause Analysis methodologies, the exhaustiveness of the analysis, and the pertinence of corrective actions.
* Supporting the Facilities and Activities in the implementation of the proposed hazard control measures.
* Experience in the HSE specific domains.
* At least 2 years in the HSE field, process risk, industrial audit, system management, and/or industrial operation domains.
* Thorough knowledge of the different types of hazards at the workplace and of the hierarchy of controls.
* Mastering practices, methods, equipment and tools (notably Job Hazard Analysis, Safe Work Permit and Root Cause Analysis) to reduce the exposure to hazards arising from work tasks, workplaces, materials and conditions.
* Good knowledge and understanding of HSE regulations, applicable codes and standards, local health and safety laws and regulations.
* Good knowledge of the organization, industrial operations and related risks.
* Good knowledge of Process Risk and Road Safety management fundamentals.
* Good knowledge of Human and Organizational Safety Factors.
* Good knowledge of the Group and Subsidiary industrial management system.

Competencies

* Subsidiary official language(s).
* English is a plus.
* Availability for traveling 20% of the year
* Thorough knowledge of the Group IMS and relevant ISO standards.
* Strong knowledge in designing, development, implementing and auditing of management systems
* Good knowledge of the Subsidiary organization, industrial operations and related risks.
* Knowledge of process risk management fundamentals.
* Understanding of applicable laws and regulations.

* Effectiveness of detecting quality, safety and environmental related findings during internal audits, as required
