Job Description:
This role exists to improve ASOS's commercial performance through decisive financial leadership, actionable insights, and challenge that drives better decisions across Product, Supply Chain, and Customer functions. Whether that be trading and delivering to one of many countries ASOS operates in, to helping to influence our incremental revenue streams such as Partner Fulfils or even analysis to find further opportunities in our Operations Base.
You will partner the senior leadership, targeting improved Variable Contribution through targeted commercial interventions. You will influence Directors to take financially sound decisions, backed by high quality insight alongside holding the business areas to account for OKRs, budget adherence, and commercial outcomes
You will help to build capability in analysts and FMs through coaching on modelling, insight creation, and commercial storytelling. Role modelling cross functional collaboration and ensure your team 'joins the dots' across the business
The Details
* Acting as a strategic partner-challenging assumptions, shaping decisions, and ensuring financial implications are understood, quantified, and actioned
* Building a strong understanding of the profit model to drive Commercial decisions to drive an overall improvement in Variable Contribution
* Updating senior management on relevant P&L, Cash and Metric performance, providing insightful analysis on business division outlooks
* Leading monthly business reviews in to ensure appropriate tracking of performance, with value-add analysis to help deep dive problem areas
* Working closely with the Financial Accounting and FP&A teams to manage month end and the overall story of the drivers of performance
* Drive proactive risk/opportunity management and ensure clear visibility of the commercial trade-offs
* Conduct scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis for new strategies, cost initiatives, and revenue opportunities
Qualifications:
About you
* ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified
* Advanced Excel Modelling, with ability to manipulate and interpret large data sets
* Strong P&L, Cashflow and Profitability Understanding
* Strong communication and the capability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills
* Excellent presentational skills and confident presenting to senior management
* SQL, PowerBI, Databricks Experience is desirable
