What you'll do

As the Business Office & Strategy leader for the Chief Financial Officer, you are the CFO's right hand, acting as a primary thought partner and execution anchor. You ensure that strategic priorities are translated into clear direction, decision-ready materials and disciplined execution across Global Finance and its interfaces toward other business functions.
You operate at the intersection of strategy, execution and leadership, creating clarity in complexity, safeguarding momentum on the CFO's agenda, and enabling high-quality decisions at pace.
In this role, you will enable:

Strategy translation, decision support, Executive & Board engagement
* Act as the right hand to the Chief Financial Officer and translate strategic priorities into clear objectives, workstreams and decision materials with clear owners and follow-ups.
* Structure complex, ambiguous topics into fact-based options and clear story lining covering implications and recommendations. Acting as a sparring partner to other senior stakeholders and cross-functional interfaces.
* Drive the definition of the Finance for Finance Strategy, Vision and roadmaps, including follow-up on execution from the Finance Management Team members.
* Prepare and elevate content for Chief Financial Officer, Executive Management Team and Board of Directors interactions. Ensuring decision-ready materials, with risks, trade-offs and next steps clearly articulated.

Operating rhythm & execution discipline
* Define agendas, proactively coordinate and continuously improve the operating cadence of the Global Finance Leadership Team and key governance forums.
* Maintain a single source of truth for priorities, actions, dependencies and follow-ups.
* Track execution rigorously, surface deviations early, and drive timely course-correction.

Cross-functional orchestration & leadership enablement
* Coordinate across Global Finance and with other business functions to secure narrative, alignment, ownership and delivery on joint initiatives.
* Bring clarity and neutrality to sensitive or high-impact matters, navigating differing viewpoints while preserving the CFO's direction and intent.
* Own and drive ad hoc time-critical high impact initiatives for Volvo Cars and Global Finance strategy, coordinating across Global Finance and with other business functions to ensure alignment and timely progress on joint initiatives.
