Automation & Rationalization Engineer Specialist

We are seeking an Automation & Rationalization Engineer Specialist to support an Alarm Management Engineering Project within the Oil & Gas industry. This role will focus on SCADA administration, alarm rationalization, and alarm optimization, helping improve operational safety, reliability, and efficiency across industrial facilities.

👨‍💻 Key Responsibilities

*

Configure, administer, and maintain SCADA systems.

*

Perform alarm rationalization activities and optimize alarm configuration and logic.

*

Support alarm management initiatives in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

*

Analyze and troubleshoot automation and control system issues.

*

Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams.

*

Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and engineering records.

🎯 Must Have Skills:

*

Experience configuring and administering SCADA systems.

*

Experience with Alarm Rationalization and/or Alarm Management projects.

*

Knowledge of industrial automation, process control, or control systems.

*

Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.

*

Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).

*

Availability to travel to Santa Cruz approximately once a month for 2-3 days.

🚀 Nice to Have Skills:

*

Experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

*

Knowledge of alarm management standards such as ISA-18.2 and/or IEC 62682.

*

Experience with industrial software platforms such as AVEVA PI System, Ignition, Kepware, or similar.

*

Relevant certifications (AVEVA Application Developer, AVEVA PI Infrastructure Specialist, Ignition Certified, Kepware Associate Certification, or equivalent).

*

Experience working within cross-functional engineering teams.
