Program Overview
McKesson's Intern program is designed to provide:

Job Summary
As a Business Operations Intern, you'll get an inside look at how healthcare programs run behind the scenes - everything from process improvement to executive reporting. You'll be part of a collaborative team supporting operational excellence across Specialty Health. This role is ideal for students in Life Sciences or Health Sciences who want to understand how real-world operations support patient care at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support
* Update and streamline program master sheets, trackers, and work responsibility matrices
* Organize and centralize shared business processes, templates, and documentation
* Support improvements by documenting current processes and performing data consolidation or analysis
Audit & Compliance Readiness
* Help prepare for audits by organizing documentation and maintaining evidence trackers
* Assist in ensuring standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other operational documents are current and audit-ready
Executive Reporting
* Support creation of Monthly Business Review (MBR) presentations for the Executive Leadership Team
* Validate data inputs, update recurring slides, and ensure polished formatting
Project & Governance Work
* Support ad hoc projects and development of criteria documents.
* Help track EOS plans, strategic initiatives, and operational commitments
* Maintain action logs, timelines, and follow-ups across teams
General Team Support
* Provide administrative, operational, and analytical support as needed.
* Collaborate professionally with colleagues across Specialty Health in a supportive learning environment

Required Qualifications:
* Currently enrolled in a Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Public Health, Health Administration, or related post-secondary program
* Returning to full-time studies after the internship * Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Comfortable using Excel and PowerPoint Preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with documentation and process mapping
* Interest in healthcare operations, program governance, or process improvement
* Experience working with data or trackers (from school, work, or volunteer roles)
Work Environment:
* Full-time summer term (approx. May-August)
* Hybrid
* Monday to Friday, between 9AM and 5PM EST
Compensation
Compensation is based on McKesson Canada's Early Talent guidelines for intern roles Exact hourly rate will be confirmed at offer stage
