Job Description

WSP in the Middle East are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join its Middle East legal team, based in the UAE. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for a law student or recent graduate to gain hands-on exposure within a leading global professional services organisation operating across multiple jurisdictions. The Legal Intern will support the legal function on day-to-day matters, gaining practical experience in commercial contracts, compliance, governance, and legal research within a fast-paced consultancy environment.

Responsibilities

* Assist the legal team with legal research on UAE and regional laws and regulations.
* Support the review and organisation of contracts, agreements, and legal documentation.
* Assist with the preparation of standard legal templates, correspondence, and summaries.
* Support compliance, governance, and internal legal reporting activities.
* Help maintain legal records, contract trackers, and document repositories.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as commercial, HR, and finance teams as required.
* Provide general administrative support to the legal function.

Qualifications

* Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
* Strong academic background with a genuine interest in corporate and commercial law.
* Ability to understand basic legal concepts and apply them in a business context.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strong attention to detail, organisation, and confidentiality.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Knowledge of UAE legal framework is an advantage but not essential.
