Operations Controls Intern

The Operations Controls & KPI Monitoring unit oversees the effectiveness and efficiency of the Operations function by conducting structured oversight activities supported by a comprehensive set of Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Additionally, it manages and monitors the Operations budget and maintains the governance framework that ensures timely execution of actions required by Control Functions. The unit is responsible for active operational due diligence on third-party asset managers and for managing the full operational lifecycle of brokers, including the operational aspects of ISDA agreements and the technical setup with clearing brokers for derivatives activities. It assesses passive KYC requests to enable business relationships with brokers and external asset managers and supports investment activities in Alternative Investment Funds. The team also handles passive due diligence requests received from external parties. In addition, it oversees the services provided by Depositary Banks and Fund Administrators, providing operational support to the Head of Operations in her role as OBR, coordinating the lifecycle of related agreements-such as Service Level Agreements and Operating Memoranda-in collaboration with the Legal Department and other relevant functions. Finally, it coordinates relationships with Operations' internal clients, ensuring effective management of contracts and service lifecycles.

The intern will support through the following activities:
* Supporting the development and maintenance of the oversight framework with a focus on KPI
* Supporting the analysis of KPI outcomes and trends by interacting with Ops functions and contributing to the identification of non-natural trends
* Preparation of internal reports and KPI dashboards used to monitor operational efficiency
* Supporting the follow-up of recurring activities within the KPI perimeter
* Assisting in managing interactions with internal clients by tracking service requests and updates related to contracts and operational activities
* Supporting monitoring activities related to corporate obligations required by the data quality and governance framework

Profil requis du candidat:

* Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Management or related disciplines
* Interest in asset management and financial markets
* Basic understanding of financial instruments and the asset management industry
* Good command of Microsoft Office
* Fluency in Italian and English
