RTR Accountant Intern

RTR (Record to Report) team in GBS Asia manages both General Accounting (GA) and Tax Compliance activities for all Asia entities. The team handles financial closing activities and reporting to HQ, tax compliance activities and reporting to HQ, statutory audit, internal audit and continuous improvement projects.
Role Responsibilities & Job Descriptions:
* Support RTR Accountant in handling monthly accounting and tax compliance activities/ matters in Asia BUs
* Ensure the accuracy on accounting entries and and tax compliance submission of legal entities on timely manner and compliance with internal controls, company policies, IFRS and local statutory tax regulations
* Assist to prepare/update the working instruction documentation and work processes
* Update and track tax calendar of Asia BUs; assist with data entry, updating financial spreadsheets and analysis.

Qualifications:
* Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or any relevant fields of study, with adequate accounting knowledge
* Good knowledge and experience in using Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
* Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
* 6 months of availability
* Effective oral and written English communication skills. Other languages skillsets such as Mandarin/Chinese, Korean or Japanese will give you an added advantage
* Detailed oriented & meticulous, analytical skill, proactive, enthusiasm in learning and fast learner
