Our characterization analytical team within the Nutrition department is looking for a new VIE to work in the laboratory for R&D projects and investigations on Baxter products. The VIE will support product development or product sustainability activities through the operation of multiple measurements and process tools complying with quality and regulatory specifications or requirements. He/She will also support a variety of projects by performing laboratory activities described in protocols/requests/studies led by study directors. Details of the mission: This position will act as Research Associate within the Analytical Department with the following missions: * structure elucidation of unknown material, compound, and particle using state-of-the-art microscopy techniques, FTIR, EDX * analytical method development in GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, LC-HRMS, * technical investigation, * participation to Stability testing programs and/or routine analyses for new or support of existing products within internal Baxter laboratories and with Baxter external partners Role and responsibilities: Particle Identification and Material Characterization * Conduct investigations of particles, fibers, polymeric materials, and other potential contaminants. * Utilize structural and physicochemical characterization techniques such as optical microscopy, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, SEM/EDX, or equivalent techniques. * Interpret analytical data to determine the likely origin and nature of unknown particles. * Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to project, quality, and cross-functional teams. LC-MS and GC-MS Method Development and Application * Develop, optimize, and execute analytical methods using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). * Support structural elucidation and identification of extractables and leachables (E&L), degradation products, and unknown compounds. * Perform routine analyses as well as complex investigations requiring interpretation of mass spectral data. * Contribute to instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and qualification activities. Analytical Method Validation * Participate in the planning and execution of analytical method validation studies. * Assess method performance characteristics including specificity, accuracy, precision, linearity, robustness, solution stability, and range. * Previous experience with analytical method validation is considered an advantage but is not mandatory. Stability Testing * Prepare and analyze samples generated from stability study programs. * Review and interpret analytical results. * Support investigations related to atypical, out-of-trend, or unexpected stability results

Preferred * Experience with LC-MS and/or GC-MS instrumentation. * Experience in analytical method development. * Knowledge of pharmaceutical laboratory practices and relevant quality standards (GMP/GLP). * Experience with FTIR, Raman microscopy, SEM-EDS, optical microscopy, or related characterization techniques. * Familiarity with analytical method validation principles.
