Job Description

POSITION AND MISSIONS
You join our legal team "Derivatives and Structured Finance - Fixed Income and Commodities", which is looking for a Intern - Financial Markets Lawyer, for a 1-year apprenticeship from September 2026.
The activity of the legal team "Derivatives and Structured Finance - Fixed Income and Commodities" closely follows developments in financial markets. On the transactional side, the team covers varied operations and in particular:
* interest rate or exchange rate hedging in the context of structured financing (infrastructure financing, real estate financing, acquisition financing);
* interest rate cover in the context of securitization of receivables;
* retreats of financial instruments or loans of financial instruments;
* hedging operations in the context of structured bond issues accompanied by collateral (repackaging).
The team collaborates on a daily basis with all the key players in transactions, whether they are internal (front office, lawyers from other Natixis teams) or external (clients, lawyers...).
Your main tasks will be as follows:
* Participate in the analysis of files in accordance with internal procedures, prepare transactional documents from internal templates and organize the signing of documentation;
* review and modify contracts received from counterparties (notably NDA) in order to improve the bank's position;
* Conduct legal research and write supporting notes for lawyers on specific issues;
* Conduct legal or regulatory monitoring (international and French) on topics affecting the team's activity (EMIR, SFTR, BMR, MIFID...) and on the work of market associations (ISDA, FBF, ICMA).
* Do the post-closing follow-up and feed the archiving databases.
You will be supervised by your tutor or by the other lawyers of the team according to the files.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

Student at the level of Bac+5, you are a lawyer preparing a university degree / DJCE or a business school diploma. Your background has allowed you to familiarize yourself with banking and financial law.
You are organized and rigorous.
You have good writing skills and a spirit of analysis and synthesis.
You have the ability to work in a team with an international dimension.
You have, ideally, a first experience (internship) in investment banking or law firm on similar subjects.
