Overview You will contribute to multiple client mandates, working closely with local and global project teams to deliver high-quality work. You will advise and support boards and management teams through strategic moments, while playing an active role in developing our energy, climate and sustainability offering locally and globally. Responsibilities Take ownership of client work, from understanding the brief and the underlying problem to delivering advice that is clear, useful and directly relevant to what the client needs. Provide high-level public affairs counsel and political insight to clients across the energy and sustainability sectors. Design and implement cutting-edge communication strategies, creating high-quality documents, plans, narratives, and messaging for our clients. Project and finance management by overseeing multiple workstreams, ensuring timely project delivery at targeted margins. Build and strengthen client relationships and your external network, gradually identifying leads and growth opportunities across both existing and new business. Foster talent development by supervising junior colleagues' daily activities, providing timely feedback and mentorship to support their professional growth. Qualifications To ensure a successful journey with us, you need to display a strong sense of ownership and intellectual curiosity, with the willingness to get to the bottom of complex issues, think from the client's perspective, cut through noise, and take pride in producing work that genuinely helps clients make better decisions. You should also skillfully apply your communication abilities - such as designing and implementing effective strategies and tactics - while also utilising your commercial acumen and project management skills. Additionally, we are seeking candidates who have: Client and project management experience, preferably gained within consultancy, trade associations, or similar professional environments. Specialised expertise and experience in energy and sustainability policies. A thorough understanding of the EU decision-making process and EU policies, particularly those related to energy and sustainability. A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work seamlessly with colleagues both in Brussels and across our global network. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Knowledge of additional EU languages is considered an asset. A bachelor's or master's degree in political science, business administration, law, or other relevant fields. Public sector experience (EU Institutions or Member State authority) is beneficial but not required. Proficiency and curiosity in using AI-powered tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude and other emerging platforms, to enhance research, drafting and problem-solving.
