As part of Danone's Specialized Nutrition division, you will play a key role in improving the quality of life of elderly patients by delivering innovative, evidence-based nutritional solutions. In this role, you will combine your commercial drive with your healthcare expertise to build strong partnerships with healthcare professionals and institutional stakeholders, while driving sustainable growth across elderly homes and homecare settings.
As Account Manager Institutions & Homecare - North & Brussels, you are responsible for developing and managing Nutricia's business within elderly homes, MPI's, and homecare providers in your territory (West- & Oost-Vlaanderen and Brussels).
You act as a trusted partner for healthcare professionals and decision-makers, driving both sales performance and long-term partnerships, while contributing to improving patient outcomes in malnutrition and disease-related nutrition.
Key responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
* Drive sales growth and market share in elderly homes and homecare
* Identify new business opportunities and develop accounts
* Deliver tailored value propositions and product presentations
2. Tendering & Contract Management
* Manage tender opportunities and help with submissions
* Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and execution
* Analyse outcomes and optimise future approaches
3. Account Management
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (nurses, dietitians, management)
* Position Nutricia as a preferred partner
* Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term account development
4. Product training
* Provide expertise in medical nutrition (e.g. malnutrition, frailty)
* Educate healthcare professionals and support best practice implementation
Experience & Education
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Life Sciences, Nutrition, Pharmacy, or management)
* Experience in healthcare or sales representative
* Experience with elderly homes, institutions, or homecare is a strong asset
* Experience with tenders and contract negotiations is valued
Skills & Competencies
* Strong commercial mindset with ability to drive growth
* Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
* Autonomous, structured, and performance-driven
* Fluent in Dutch and French (English is a plus)
* Willingness to travel within the North & Brussels territory
