Job Purpose
The overall purpose of the Subsea Processing Power Lead Engineer is to provide MV and HV power product specific oversight to Pre-FEED studies, FEED studies, technical sales support, research and development (R&D) studies, tenders, proposals, and product development support for TechnipFMC.Providing technical expertise for the power string, from topsides to the seafloor, to ensure that it meets the requirements of the subsea loads as specified in project documentation.Electrical engineer with background in power infrastructure, systems and equipment.
Job Description
Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible within Power and Processing - Power for:
* Performing FEED study level and EPC level power system calculations review and approval to establish, for example, topsides power requirements, topsides power equipment specifications, electrical insulation classes and umbilical power cable cross-sectional areas.
* Communicating with other disciplines, including but not limited to product engineers, controls engineers, instrumentation engineers, process engineers, installation, and project management.
* Approving, interpreting, using and creating design basis information.
* Approving and reviewing power system deliverables to define the power infrastructure for subsea processing systems, including systems for subsea pumping, subsea separation, flow line heating and subsea compressors.
* Approving and reviewing deliverables for relevant technologies, including but not limited to single line diagrams (SLDs), subsea distribution drawings (SDDs), Master Equipment Lists (MELs), Technology Gap Assessments (TGAs) and reports.
* Approving and reviewing power system simulations to perform load flow analysis, and to establish the stability of a power system, utilizing ETAP or equivalent.
* Utilizing relevant industry standards, such as those issued by IEEE, ANSI, NFPA, API, and local Brazilian standards.
* Understanding and communicating the drivers behind power system component selection.

* Degree in Engineering
* CREA
* Advanced English
* Experience in a subsea power leadership role
* Experience using and approving power system simulations, such as those created in ETAP or equivalent.
* Good understanding of subsea systems and the key drivers for subsea power component technology selection.
* Ability to establish a working environment that strives for quality among power engineers.
* Capable of demonstrating a depth of understanding of MV/HV power technical principles, theories and methodologies.
* Able to assess the need for multi-disciplinary support and to communicate complex technical ideas, to arrive at multi-disciplinary solutions.
* Excellent team player and leader, able to identify abilities and strengths in others to engender collaboration.
* Demonstrated understanding of the financial impact of technical decisions.
* Can meet deadlines and set own priorities, and those of others.
* Self-driven with ability to seek information and work independently, and assign, when appropriate, tasks to other power engineers.
* Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Experience with ETAP, PLECS, ATPDraw, Matlab, or equivalent software packages
* Familiarity with AutoCAD, and TeamCenter Engineering database.
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Experience with equipment and systems for the oil and gas industry is preferrable.
* Demonstrates strong collaboration skills, effectively working with cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
* Exhibits proactive problem-solving and adaptability, maintaining a positive and solution-oriented approach in dynamic project environments.
