Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) is at the core of Amadeus digital platforms, protecting the identity of millions of travelers and professionals worldwide. Summary of the role:
You will join the CIAM maintenance and support team as a Senior Software Development Engineer, acting as a key technical reference for the stability, security, and reliability of Amadeus' identity platforms. Working closely with global teams in Europe and India, you will lead the resolution of complex incidents, drive root-cause analysis, and implement improvements across production and test environments.
Combine strong technical expertise with ownership and communication skills, contributing to platform resilience, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement of services that support millions of users worldwide.

In this role you'll:
* Develop deep functional and technical expertise of the CIAM platform and its ecosystem
* Lead the investigation and resolution of complex production incidents with minimal customer impact
* Act as a technical reference during escalations, ensuring clear, timely, and high-quality communication with stakeholders
* Perform root cause analysis and define corrective and preventive actions
* Implement fixes, patches, and performance improvements across the platform
* Maintain and evolve legacy codebases while ensuring compliance with coding standards and security guidelines
* Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency
* Maintain high-quality technical documentation and implementation guides
* Proactively identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to improve platform resilience

About the ideal candidate:
* Strong expertise in backend software development, particularly in C++
* Experience with frontend technologies such as Java and Angular
* Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases
* Basic knowledge of cloud technologies
* Proven experience debugging and supporting complex distributed systems in production environments
* Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
* Ability to influence technical decisions and anticipate dependencies in complex environments
* Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with multiple stakeholders
* Proactive, accountable, and willing to take ownership
* Acts as a technical reference and actively supports the growth of less experienced colleagues
* Fluent in English (written and spoken
