Channels Applications

Corporate Bank Technology has embarked on a multi-year technology refresh program that includes revitalization of "Channel" applications for payment initiation. As a Lead Engineer (f/m/x), you will be working on adding functionality to a global payment initiation platform that has React based micro frontends backed by Java powered micro-services deployed in a containerized environment. The platform uses event streaming over Kafka and varied datastores such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, HBase, MongoDB.

You'll collaborate with other Senior Engineers and Analysts on the platform embracing agile practices to incrementally add functionality to the platform, with a sharp focus on automation. You will partner with business and technology managers to define modules and enhancements to the application stack that provides Deutsche Bank's institutional clients ability to initiate payments in real time and access to their account balances & statements in near real time. You will enable the digital environment that helps our people share their knowledge, expertise, and real passion for our business. Your key responsibilities

* You partner with UI/UX Design Team, Architects, Business Analysts, and Stakeholders situated in multiple regions and time-zones; at varying capacity to understand requirements and reflect in test artefacts
* You define test strategy for applications you are part of taking into consideration both internal and industry wide best practices
* You regularly monitor and control the risk through appropriate reviews and tollgates around testing processes, test artefacts including both functional and not functional areas.
* You regularly review the work of your team members to ensure that the code is appropriate, extendable, and reusable
* You manage the software development life cycle (SDLC) of software components all the way to production, including helping support the application to resolve production issues with appropriate triaging

Your skills and experiences

* Extensive experience developing and testing Java-based microservices (Spring Boot) in cloud environments such as Google Cloud.
* Strong background in test automation using Selenium, Karate, Cucumber, and related frameworks.
* Solid backend and API testing skills (SoapUI, Postman) plus UI testing experience for React components.
* Proficient with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and experienced in TDD/BDD automation.
* Knowledge of Splunk/SQL for data analysis and a full understanding of the software development lifecycle including defect triage in production.
