Technical Manager (all genders) - Lab Buildings & Operations
As the Technical Manager (all genders) for lab buildings and operations, you will be responsible for operator obligations and the safe operation of all non-GMP laboratory buildings within Chemical-Pharmaceutical Development in Wuppertal Elberfeld. You will actively shape structural and compliance-related measures, develop innovative concepts for building operations, and play a key role in the sustainable advancement of laboratory infrastructure. The position is part of the Chemical-Pharmaceutical Development department and offers you the opportunity to contribute your expertise in a dynamic environment.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* You will be responsible for planning and implementing chemical-technical changes as well as structural and compliance-related measures in development laboratory buildings
* You will participate in needs assessment and planning of measures to ensure operational assignments and facility availability in close coordination with building users
* You will prepare requirement and specification documents as well as operator documentation guidelines in close collaboration with users, operations management, and engineering
* Supporting operations management in the preparation of plant safety assessments and legal documentation will be part of your role
* You will continuously improve maintenance and repair processes and develop standardization concepts
* You will organize and accompany documentation handovers and represent users in projects
* You will coordinate all HSE-relevant processes in laboratory buildings and develop technical advancement concepts, including budget coordination for CI and expense projects
* Developing and establishing training concepts as well as promoting sustainability and energy management will be part of your responsibilities
WHO YOU ARE
* You hold a university degree (Master's) in Chemistry or Engineering
* You have broad operational expertise, e.g., in an operations engineering role
* In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations (laws, technical rules, and regulations) is also part of your profile
* You have long-term experience in laboratory environments and/or operating facilities within the chemical-pharmaceutical industry
* You demonstrate proven practical and theoretical skills in operating technical facilities and buildings, as well as profound knowledge of technical and legal frameworks
* You bring extensive leadership experience
* A proactive personality with a high degree of assertiveness makes you successful
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills in German and English as well as advanced project management skills round off your profile
