Job Description
The Vice President - Airframer (f/m/d) is responsible for leading and managing the strategic relationship with a Business Aviation airframer customer, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service, driving business growth, and representing Rolls-Royce's interests within the airframer account. This role will act as the primary interface between the airframer and Rolls-Royce, championing customer needs internally and ensuring alignment with our business objectives. The VP will also be accountable for risk management across the account and for leading the programme management team to deliver on all commitments. In addition, this role holds the accountability to manage the Sales and Inventory Operational Planning Process across Business Aviation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute the account strategy, in alignment with the Civil Business Aviation objectives.
* Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders at the customer.
* Act as the voice of the customer within Rolls-Royce, ensuring the customer requirements and expectations are understood and met.
* Lead contract negotiations, commercial discussions, and partnership initiatives with the customer.
* Oversee the delivery of products, services, and support to the customer, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, services, sales, legal, etc.) to deliver integrated solutions to the customer.
* Monitor account performance, report on key metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Identify and drive business growth opportunities for the account.
* Represent Rolls-Royce at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings as required.
* Lead the programme management team, providing clear direction, coaching, and development to ensure high performance and effective delivery of programme objectives.
* Own and manage risk for the account, including identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting of risks to ensure successful delivery and protect business interests.
* Ensure robust governance and compliance with all relevant policies, standards, and regulations across the programme.
* Manage and drive the Sales and Inventory Operational Planning Process across Business Aviation integrated with the central team.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience in a senior customer-facing or account management role, ideally within the aerospace or aviation sector.
* Strong understanding of business aviation and the needs of OEM customers.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain executive-level relationships.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.
* Experience managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.
* Demonstrated experience in risk management and leading programme management teams.
* Degree in business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is desirable.
