Your Role

* drive the development of a mechatronic module, from concept maturation through integration readiness and deployment to the full functional machine
* coordinate interdisciplinary work packages across mechanical design, actuators, sensors, controls, software, metrology and system integration
* define and execute module design, interfaces, test strategies and verification plans for precise and reliable module performance
* plan and steer module development activities, including milestones, risks, dependencies, design reviews, integration steps and documentation deliverables
* support commissioning and troubleshooting, with a focus on alignment, stability, repeatability and manufacturability
* act as technical project lead for a small specialist team, ensuring clear priorities, stakeholder alignment and effective collaboration with internal and external partners

Your Profile

* a university degree in mechatronics, precision engineering, systems engineering, physics or a comparable technical field
* strong mechatronics expertise, including precision mechanics, actuators, sensors and control systems, alignment concepts, vibration-sensitive assemblies and machine integration
* experience in developing, integrating and verifying complex modules for high-precision machines, ideally in semiconductor equipment, metrology, lithography or optical systems
* good understanding of requirements engineering, interface management, error budgeting, verification planning and structured technical risk management
* project management skills for planning work packages, tracking milestones, coordinating dependencies, moderating technical decisions and communicating status to stakeholders
* experience in collaborating with suppliers, service providers and internal development partners on module design, prototype builds, test execution and issue resolution
* very good communication skills in English and German
