Responsibilities

As an R&D Operations Analyst, you will own and oversee the end-to-end Purchase Order and Contract processes for the Americas Sensory & Consumer Experience (EXP) team. This role ensures that all purchasing and contracting activities are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with PepsiCo standards, enabling smooth and uninterrupted delivery of EXP projects.
You will act as the central coordination point between cross-functional partners-including Procurement, Legal, Finance, and external vendors-translating business needs into timely and compliant commercial agreements. Additionally, the role drives governance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement of procurement workflows to support both daily operational needs and long-term strategic initiatives.

As an R&D Operations Analyst you will:

Purchase Orders & Procurement

* Manage the end-to-end Purchase Order (PO) process for the Americas Sensory & Consumer Experience team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
* Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and Accounts Payable to resolve PO, invoice, or payment issues.
* Monitor PO status, budget spend, and vendor usage to maintain financial visibility and control.
* Identify and address risks related to delays, expirations, or compliance gaps that could impact project timelines.

Contracts & Vendor Management

* Coordinate and review contracts, SOWs, and amendments in partnership with Legal and Procurement.
* Act as the main contact for contract-related inquiries within the team.
* Ensure all contracts are approved, current, and aligned with scope, timing, and commercial terms.
* Maintain an organized repository of active contracts, renewals, and key milestones.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Serve as a liaison between the team and cross-functional partners (Procurement, Legal, Finance, R&D, vendors).
* Provide guidance to internal teams on PO and contract processes, timelines, and best practices.
* Support vendor onboarding and ensure compliance with preferred vendor requirements and governance standards.

Process Improvement & Governance

* Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize purchasing and contracting workflows.
* Develop and maintain SOPs, templates, and tracking tools related to procurement.
* Support audits and compliance reviews by ensuring process adherence and documentation accuracy.
* Use data and insights to recommend improvements in spend management and vendor engagement.

Planning, Reporting & Strategic Support

* Deliver regular reports on spend, contract status, and procurement KPIs to leadership.
* Support annual planning, forecasting, and budget tracking for external services and vendors.
* Contribute to strategic discussions by highlighting risks, opportunities, and efficiencies in procurement processes.
Qualifications

* Detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative professional, capable of managing purchasing and contracting processes with accuracy and efficiency.
* Fluent English (B2-C1), able to communicate effectively with global teams and vendors.
* 1+ year of administrative experience, ideally supporting purchasing processes, vendor coordination, or order management.
* Knowledge of procurement systems (e.g., SAP, MyBuy, Ariba, Selectica) to support tracking, documentation, and data accuracy.
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, including management of trackers, documentation, and basic reporting.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills, able to resolve discrepancies, clarify requirements, and collaborate proactively across teams.
