We are seeking a Logistics & Customs Coordinator- for Queretaro plant ETO, part of our Schneider Electric Mexico Maquiladoras Portfolio.
This role is primarily accountable for establishing and driving functional expertise and leadership in transportation and logistics flow. This role is accountable for implementing compliance policies and designing new processes to support the policies.
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for managing import and export operations across land, sea, air, and virtual modalities, ensuring compliance with applicable customs regulations while identifying opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement.
· Collaborate with customs and trade compliance leaders to ensure operational integrity and compliance with applicable customs regulations.
· Manage import and export operations across different modalities, including definitive and temporary imports, maritime, air, and land shipments.
· Execute and control export operations, including definitive, maritime, and air exports.
· Coordinate and manage virtual operations, ensuring proper documentation and regulatory compliance.
· Review, validate, and process customs entries (pedimentos), including duty payments.
· Handle customs entry corrections (rectificaciones), regime changes, and merchandise regularizations as required.
· Manage border inventory in compliance with customs regulations and internal controls.
· Oversee fixed asset control from a customs and trade compliance perspective.
· Manage scrap disposition and ensure proper customs reporting and compliance.
· Capture, track, and report operational KPIs through the Balance Scorecard.
Qualifications:
· Solid knowledge of International Trade regulations, including Annexes 22, 24, and 31.
· Hands-on experience with Annex 24 systems.
· Strong understanding of the IMMEX program and its operational and compliance requirements.
· Proven experience in import and export operations within a manufacturing or maquiladora environment.
· Experience working closely with Mexican customs brokers (agentes aduanales) to ensure accurate and compliant customs operations.
· Strong knowledge of definitive and temporary import/export operations, including maritime, air, land, and virtual operations.
