Job Title: Security Associate (Classifier)
Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Min. 3 days per week onsite)
Salary: Up to £46,600 (DOE)

Job Description:
In this role, you will provide expert classification advice and guidance to business stakeholders on Programme Security best practices, ensuring compliance with security policies, grading guides, and processes to support delivery across all programmes. You will monitor and maintain effective security measures, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and promote a positive security culture by raising awareness and modelling organisational values. Additionally, you will analyse data, produce reports and presentations, deliver security training, and continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and embed a best practice approach to Programme Security.
Core duties:
* Providing expert guidance to stakeholders on Programme Security best practices, including the application of policies and grading processes, to ensure compliance and support delivery of business objectives
* Maintaining effective relationships and coordination with key local functions and business representatives
* Monitoring security measures within the business area to ensure policies and procedures remain current, effective, and aligned with changing requirements
* Supporting the Security culture by raising Security Awareness among employees and continually seeking opportunities for improvement to facilitate a best practice approach
* Gathering data, analysing, and preparing reports or presentations to feed information back to teams/managers
* Delivering Security classification training and Grading Guide awareness across the submarines business in accordance with the Security programme
Essential Skills:
* Good understanding of government and industry standard security policies and standards
* Demonstrated expertise in engaging and managing senior-level stakeholders, along with strong presentation skills
The Programme Security Team:
An excellent opportunity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, gaining valuable exposure to different programmes and the broader organisation. You will provide expert advice and guidance to business stakeholders on Programme Security best practices, including the application of security policies, grading guides, and processes. As a Subject Matter expert, you will ensure compliance while supporting the successful delivery of business objectives. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
