Let's introduce ourselves
You will be an integral part of a new organization and real production in our state-of-the-art Paint Shop, pursuing our mission to provide the best manufacturing of products in color or non-color areas, that accelerate the world to sustainable energy. You will work closely with our management, engineering, and project teams in the early and stabilization phases of the Paint process development and equipment to identify manufacturing risks.

Location: Valaliky Industrial Park, Kosice district, Slovakia

What you'll do
Project phase:
* Utilize a strong engineering mindset and previous experience in the automotive industry maintenance function to set up a maintenance organization in the Paint Shop, defining the most efficient setup using Value Driven Maintenance Processes and tools with secured availability, maintainability, and maintenance supportability;
* Prepare and oversee instructions, critical parameters, checklists, and training materials for all maintenance operations, update special equipment service manuals, including drawings and wiring schematics;
* Recruit, train, and develop team competence that will live up to our Lean fundamentals in their everyday tasks;
* Manage a group or team of operational contributors in multi-shift operations, organize their daily workflow, ensure accountability and continuous improvement, recognize achievements, and handle people issues;
* Communicate job expectations clearly, provide necessary instructions and feedback to team members;
* Be an all-round counterpart to the project team in all sorts of maintenance engineering-related questions in the project.
Running phase:
* Secure and improve KPIs such as OPR, technical availability, MCBF, MDT, maintenance costs, and safety;
* Oversee all aspects of people planning and management, including short and long-term resource planning, holiday scheduling, sickness management, and individual performance management;
* Support and take an active part in the shop's future development (Line speed changes and introduction of new products/processes);
* Drive Best Practice Sharing between the plants and within the plant;
* Be a role model for Volvo Cars values, encourage a speak-up culture, so your team can freely highlight problems, deviations, and opportunities to improve through potential solutions.
What you'll bring
* Several years of previous working experience in a leading technical role in a highly automated industrial environment, preferably in OEM's paint shop;
* Preferred university education in Mechanical/Mechatronic, Industrial, Manufacturing, Automation, Electrical, or related field;
* Demonstrated flexibility, being able to work under an organization in a transformation period, or a green-field project;
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on an occasional basis, although based in Kosice, Slovakia;
* Ability to professionally communicate, verbally and in written form, in both English and Slovak language;
* Not only an individual contributor attitude but also an ability to work within a multinational team;
* Self-starter and troubleshooting attitude, strong innovation ability, high level of communication skills, curiosity to learn new technologies;
* Analytic and engineering data reporting skills.

Compensation Data
Monthly gross salary for this position starts from 3.900 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
