Legal Counsel La Défense, France or Madrid, Spain. What you'll be doing Support Legal France Team members and especially the Senior Legal Counsel in dealing with day-to-day requests for legal advice coming from local Underwriting and Operations teams and from Colleagues of the network based abroad interested in pursuing business opportunities France; Be the point of contact and work as a true "Business Partner" for several underwriting departments; Review and validate various contractual documents ((re)insurance contracts, confidentiality agreements, mandates, brokerage protocols, commercial contracts ...); Propose to underwriters and underwriting assistants solutions that comply with applicable law and are adapted to the needs of AXA XL's clients and partners; Manage various projects and deadlines, particularly with regard to the implementation and monitoring of new products ; Carry out a legal watch, participate in the updating of the legal culture and in the training of the company's underwriters, underwriting assistants, CDLs and claims handlers; Provide assistance to AXA XL teams on issues related to Multinational programs; Provide support, upon request, to AXA XL's international transversal teams; Helping with coordinating activities provided by external counsels ; Reporting Reporting to the Head of Legal France & Southern Europe What you'll bring Masters in French private law, preferably in insurance law; Experience in an insurance company, brokerage firm and/or law firm Broad knowledge of insurance law, reinsurance, common contract law and tort law; Excellent writing skills, especially in contractual matters ; Ability to adapt to a fluid work environment with rapidly changing needs and priorities ; Ability to take initiative, to work independently and to evolve within a multidisciplinary team; Curiosity, attention to detail and pedagogy ; Highly responsive and able to manage workload with minimal supervision; Ability to work in a team and to build strong relationships with others; Very good analytical and synthesis skills; Fluency in English & French is imperative, both orally and in writing.
