We're looking for a Business Analyst to support the evolution of Sage Active, ensuring our products deliver complete, coherent, and intuitive solutions across all customer scenarios. In this role, you'll work closely with Product Management, Architecture, UX, and Development teams to translate product vision and business needs into clear, actionable requirements that drive high-quality delivery.
You'll play a critical role in shaping how requirements are understood, structured, and implemented, ensuring simplicity, usability, and alignment with customer expectations while supporting scalable and technically sound solutions.
This role operates within a global, distributed environment, collaborating with teams across multiple locations.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in our Barcelona office.

First 90 Days
* 30 days
- Gain a strong understanding of Sage Active, its product vision, and the core business domains it serves (Accounting, Sales, Purchases).
- Familiarise yourself with existing product workflows, technical architecture, development processes, and stakeholder landscape.
- Begin actively contributing to Product features definition
- Work with Product Owners to break down high-level needs into well-structured user stories and functional requirements.
- Collaborate closely with development and UX teams to ensure shared understanding and feasibility.
* 60 days
Begin actively working with more complex functionalities that could imply more interactions with other teams and increase the level of autonomy.

* 90 days
- Own end-to-end business analysis activities for one or more product areas.
- Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, and validated against business goals and customer expectations.
- Actively support delivery through clarification, validation, and contribution to testing and automation needs.

Meet the Team
You'll work in a cross-functional, international environment alongside Product Managers, Product Owners, Architects, UX designers, developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders.
The team values clarity, collaboration, and quality, focusing on delivering robust solutions through well-defined requirements and shared understanding.

Skills You'll Gain
Deep understanding of business management solutions, including Accounting, Sales, and Purchasing domains
Strong exposure to global product development and distributed team collaboration
Hands-on experience with agile product delivery and requirement management
Increased technical proficiency working with APIs, cloud-based products, and data via SQL
Experience supporting validation, testing, and automation of requirements
Snapshot of Your Day-to-Day
* You'll work with Product owners to understand and promote the product vision.
* You'll gather input from multiple sources and translate it into clear functional requirements and user stories.
* You'll collaborate closely with development teams to analyse use cases, clarify expectations, and ensure work items are well understood.
* You'll partner with UX to ensure solutions meet real customer needs.
* You'll support validation activities, participating in testing or ensuring appropriate automation is in place to confirm requirements are met.

Must-Have Skills
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within a SaaS or product environment
* Strong knowledge of business management solutions (Accounting, Sales, Purchasing)
* Experience breaking down complex requirements into development-ready user stories
* Solid understanding of agile frameworks and the product development lifecycle
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
* Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams
* Demonstrated experience with SQL, cloud-based products, and APIs (required)
* Experience working in global, distributed team environments
* Excellent level of English

Nice-to-Have Skills
* Experience working on accounting or financial SaaS products
* Exposure to test validation, QA processes, or automation practices
* Technical awareness of system architecture and integration patterns
