This is a multi-level positing for Tech (Sort Sys) and Sr. Tech (Sort Sys) positions.

M0032: Sr Tech/Sort Sys

Job Summary
Maintains and repair all package sorting and container handling equipment; maintains all electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems in accordance with established FedEx maintenance procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education
* High school diploma/GED

Minimum Experience
* Four (4) years experience, of which 24 months being as a FedEx sort systems technician, or 24 months of maintenance on similar equipment/systems, as a commercial/industrial maintenance technician with background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic & materials handling systems maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and procedures.
* Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavy sort related components, parts and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
* Good interpersonal and oral communications skills.
* Ability to access equipment by crawling, laying, standing and/or climbing at all heights both above and below ground level.

Job Conditions
* Must be willing to work odd work weeks, o/t, holidays & rotating shifts.
* Valid driver's license required.
* Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

M0033: Tech (Sort Sys)

Job Summary
Maintains and repair all package sorting and container handling equipment; maintains all electrical, electronic pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems in accordance with established FedEx maintenance procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education
* High School Diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience
* Completion of the FedEx Maintenance Trainee Program or Two (2) years' technical experience required; Industrial Maintenance Technician (preferred experience), or other maintenance/military/mechanic/related trade experience (considered) with a background in Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electronic and Materials Handling Systems Maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment & procedures.
* Good interpersonal and oral communications skills.
* Ability to access equipment by crawling, laying, standing and/or climbing at all heights both above and below ground level, and timely updating status of work orders assigned.
* Ability to Lift 50 Lbs. and maneuver heavy sort-related components, parts and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.

* Must be willing to work odd work weeks, overtime, holidays & rotating shifts.
* Valid Driver's License required.
* Non-Covered Safety Sensitive Position; Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Domicile Information: This is a full-time, onsite position located in Indianapolis, IN.
Shift Information: 3rd shift (8:00 PM - 6:30 AM), Wednesday through Sunday
Additional Details: "The desired location for this position would be 6648 S Perimeter Road Indianapolis, IN 46241. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week."
