Summary
This internship is an exciting opportunity for students who want to grow their skills in AI development, data analysis, and troubleshooting innovation. You will gain hands-on experience working with real product logs, support workflows, and AI techniques used in modern customer support operations. Throughout the internship, you will deepen your technical abilities, learn how AI can enhance real-time problem solving, and collaborate with experienced engineers who will guide your learning. This role offers meaningful exposure to AI pipelines, secure development practices, and practical solution-building-allowing you to make valuable contributions while developing skills that support your long-term career growth.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Building a minimal pipeline for log ingestion, parsing, and enrichment such as timestamp normalization and component tagging.
* Implementing pattern and anomaly detection using rules, embeddings, or lightweight models, and mapping results to known-issue knowledge and playbooks.
* Designing agent-assist outputs including root-cause hypotheses, clarifying questions, resolution steps, and customer-safe wording.
* Prototyping post-call summary generation aligned with ticket fields such as issue type, impacted module, steps taken, and status.
* Assessing and documenting data security and privacy controls including PII redaction and safe-prompt practices.
* Defining and running evaluation metrics such as top-k accuracy, precision/recall for issue classification, and time-to-first-suggested-action.
* Presenting findings, trade-offs, and recommended next steps to project stakeholders.

For This Role, You Will Need:
* Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Ability to complete at least 480 internship hours (open to required or voluntary internships).
* Ability to begin the internship on March 9, 2026.
* Coursework or experience in Python, C#, or basic machine learning or natural language processing.
* Familiarity with regex, data parsing, and handling semi-structured logs.
* Understanding of classification or ranking tasks and how evaluation metrics work.
* Interest in customer support tooling, user experience for agent productivity, or responsible AI.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
* Familiarity with Python and libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, or spaCy, with optional exposure to platforms like Azure/OpenAI.
* Ability to work with parsing and search techniques including regex, log parsers, or keyword and embedding-based retrieval.
* Comfort experimenting with lightweight front-end tools such as Streamlit, Flask, or notebook-based interfaces.
* Experience handling different data formats such as CSV, Parquet, or mock ticket datasets, with optional exposure to vector stores.
* Awareness of secure development practices such as PII redaction, safe access controls, or basic audit logging.
