PROTEC - LUXEMBOURG : IT Infrastructure Network Engineer trainee

The IT Infrastructure Network Trainee will be in charge :
*Configure, monitor, and optimize network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.).
*Support IT/OT network integration to ensure efficient and secure convergence.
*Collaborate with external contractors for infrastructure installation and maintenance.
*Provide technical assistance for incident management and service requests.
*Work closely with production teams to ensure the availability and performance of critical systems.
*Draft and update technical procedures, reports, and network documentation (diagrams, cabling plans, etc.).
*Organize and optimize IT racks, including cleanup and restructuring.
* Follow ITIL process (incident, problem, change, CMDB,…)

Minimum Requirements:
* Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, etc.).
* Familiarity with network and security devices (Cisco, Fortinet, or similar).
* Beginner in English (mandatory), French as an advantage, all other languages as advantage (Italian, German, Dutch or Nordics)
* Ability to adapt to the specific challenges of an industrial environment.
* Organizational skills, analytical mindset, and a team-oriented approach.
* Effective communication skill
