Just down the road in Bibb County, MBUSI has launched the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Essential Functions:
* Support ramp up of Model year vehicles at seat supplier Lear from Production trials (PT1-3) to start of production (SOP)
* Drive quality related open topic lists to closure, create management summaries and report out on project progress
* Sample coordination including timing tracking for Product Validation (PV) samples and shipping samples
* Support Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) of the Interior department in daily and project tasks
* Opportunity to improve overall product quality with smaller projects (e.g. Improvement of seat protective foil)

Other Regular Daily Tasks:
* Support meetings with German counterparts from Research and Development (RD) and supplier
* KPI creation and follow up on open topics
* Report creation (Start extracts, PIA overviews, etc.) for supplier quality team

Qualifikationen

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:
Student in: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
* Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, OneNote)
* Mercedes Quality and Development processes and tools (START, PIA, etc.)

Preferred Start Date:
* July/August 2026

Benefits:
* Paid internship - hourly rate $18
* Coverage of visa costs
* $700 housing bonus

Requirements:
* Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degree
* Studies outside of the U.S.A
* A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study
* Available for a minimum of 6 months
