At (COMPANY NAME) Meraki, our Network Support Engineer Interns act as key players on the Support team! You will troubleshoot cases that cover the entire Meraki product line, including our wireless access points, security appliances, switches, and Systems Manager application, just like our full-time engineers. With a steep learning curve and a fun, challenging work environment, our interns come out of the program with a deeper understanding of networking, stronger problem-solving skills, and a mastery of customer support that will carry with them for the rest of their careers. Our interns are an integral part of the Support team - we look for smart, passionate individuals who are open to taking on any task and are proactive in helping the team. The position is full-time and located in Chicago.

Responsibilities

* Research and resolve issues reported by Meraki customers and partners
* Identify issues suitable for entry in the Meraki Knowledge Base
* Write, review, and release KB articles
* Assist with lab testing work as needed for Meraki products
* Identify, reproduce, and document bugs

Qualifications

* Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, e.g. be able to explain the functions of and differences among the link, network, transport, and application layers
* A passion to assist and problem-solve with our customers
* Outstanding account management, follow-through, and problem-solving skills
* Resourcefulness and attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, (COMPANY NAME) pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, (COMPANY NAME) may pay up to 125% of target. (COMPANY NAME) sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid
