Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Intern - Grifols Therapeutics, Clayton, NC

Position Summary

The OHS Intern will support safety programs and compliance efforts at the Grifols Clayton biopharmaceutical manufacturing site. This role provides hands-on experience in occupational health, safety systems, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Support OHS team with site safety improvement projects

* Update and post machine-specific Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

* Assist in identifying and documenting confined spaces across the facility

* Help transition the Contractor Safety Training Program into the ISN system

* Conduct research on OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and internal safety standards

* Promote safety culture through communication and engagement activities

* Assist with near-miss reporting, data tracking, and corrective action follow-up

Qualifications

* Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field

* Minimum 3.0 GPA

* Basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, and general EHS regulations

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to work independently and in team environments

* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
