english language is really one of international communication, you don't need to learn the local language,in most situations you can cope with the help of English. i had no problems with language at all

I found finnish too difficult but I studied swedish that is the second language. No problem with comunication, almost all the people speak very good english, only the bus drivers aren't communicative

I tried to use the finnish language to go on shops, to buy in the supermarket, to speak with bus drivers, but my knowledge of finish is very few.

Almost everybody in Finland speaks English, so it's easy for students to study there as well as to find new friends without speaking Finnish.

although swedish is an official langauge in finland do not expect Finns i the streets and shops to be too eager to speak it, but Finnish is a great langauge to learn although very hard
