"Moomba" in Quezon City; many Pubs on Makati Ave/Jupiter St; many good restaurants and discos in Greenbelt; "Havana Bar" and others in Malate; best restaurant: "Sonya's garden" close to lake taal.

housing in Manila is very cheap, the dorm costs 300$ per month and you get a much much better apartment for nearly the same price. Just stay the first days in the dorm till you find the right apartment, dont worry, you'll find one - and it is easier if you arrange it from Manila then your homecity.

first week is "shopping week", so you can try several courses and decide afterwards. And dont worry, the courses will be fixed one week before classes start, so you have plenty of time to chose your courses.

I wish I had known...

that one should try to bring as less as possible. Because you just buy so much there, as it is so cheap, that it is impossible to bring everything back!

Try not to overload your studies - travelling is amazing in the Philippines!!! and better try to come some time ahead or stay longer! And dont worry about your security in this country, everything is really safe!
