Overall it was great and there are not too many things to mention here, maybe just to take it easier with the strikes and improve the working schedule.

Well there would be tons of useful tips, but I will choose some of them. I believe you will have a better experience if you stay in the dorms. Even is not exactly luxury you will have the time of your life and interact with more students and avoid huge bills. Travel as much as you can and use your student passo, it will give you price reductions and low fares for transportation and none the less free entrance to museums. Buy a Greek phone card with number it will be better than roaming! Take a language course if is offered by the university it will be helpful trust me! Get involved in university projects and interact with locals. Don’t eat at Mc and try the local food is simply tasty and nothing compares with a nice lunch in a Greek taverna! Try the dairy products! Watch yourself on the street what they say about the Greek drivers is not a cliché! Take it easy with drinking frappe becomes addictive. Be opened and ready to face new situations every day! Don’t be surprised if you see a lot of strikes! Always think of a plan B!

Nothing much. Just take care of the burocracy in your country, if possible.

Travel as much as you can. The country is fantastic! Beware of taxi drivers (they'll try to get as much money as possible). Apart from that, just enjoy your stay. Tavernas (typical restaurants) are cheap and VERY good!

“French Language and Literature”

Overall
As a graduate of this program I can confirm that it is truly very interesting. The majority of the professors are highly educated (most of them being PHD holders) and easygoing with the students. Usually, the number of students in each semester is quite low, which is actually a good thing since this way the relationship between the professors and the students is much more interpersonal (usually the professor will know you by your name!) and a discussion on the subject taught is more feasible. Most of the courses are very interesting and as long as you remain consistent and responsible, you will not have any trouble succeeding in the projects or the final exams.

Pros
Highly educated professors, variety of courses to choose from
Cons
Practice of French mostly in written form, not that much in oral form

“Good department even though it needs financial help”

The agriculture department is 5 years long and the diploma is equivalent to a Masters degree.
You are required to get 303 ECTS, which is around 61 courses, to do one internship and to write a thesis in order to graduate.
Overall, it is a good school and there are some very educated and open minded professors, but the laboratories have little if any equipment and the department doesn’t get any financial help from the government.
With that being said, it is very difficult to learn properly when one class has around 200 students and not enough equipment.
Other than that, the whole environment is really fun and friendly.
