comunication with local students was poor due to strong presence of germanspeaking exchange students. international variety in terms of languages in general is pretty poor in aston. undergraduate exchange students come onlyfrom germany, austria and france

At the beginning its pretty hard to understand the lectures. But after 2 weeks you understand every word. I was living with britisch students, so I was talking with them a lot when I was at home. I think that just the first 2 weeks are hard to adapt afterwards there was no language barriers.

Having had a good level of english before I did not encounter difficulties although I had to get used to the strong Birmingham dialect (Brummie) that was sometimes spoken outside university
