Don't go out clubbing. one drink will cost you over 10 euros whereas back in canada it is less than 5 dollars. Wine is cheaper than water, drink wine instead ;) (kidding) Just focus on school and give yourself a break by going out, partying once in a while, not too much

rents and prices for shopping and convenience goods quite high in paris. restaurants and bars very expensive. Traveled more than i used to do at home.

Living in Oxford is far more expensive than in France. It is as simple as that ! But you can earn a lot of money if you get a job in banking in London. I do not think Oxford is expensive if you consider your studies as an investment.

telephone - international calls are more expensive than national. accomodation - When I studied in Turin, I lived at my family's place. travel - flight tickets to come back at home were expensive
