Try to travel the whole country with a bike and a tent. Is an amazing experience.

Final comments
I think that even if the residence is a bit expensive it is a great opportunity in order to enter in international-students life. It is a big university with lots of foreign people. One of the best experiences I have ever had.

I lived in a very nice building called "De Snor". It was very functional, people leaving there have been all `round my age. It was very close to university. Not that close to the center. I lived with 3 Dutch people. We only shared the citchen. Everybody had his own room with bathroom.
