Ichthus Hogeschool, Rotterdam, Netherlands
Marketing and Sales Management, Undergraduate, I am not an international student, but I take the internatio
Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I prefer to live on my own, to have as much freedom as possible. But it's nice to share facilities like the kitchen and toilet, because then you have social contacts as well.

Personal recommendation
It's a very nice school, people are nice and the social aspects are very well represented. The economics department wasn't very organized, but the management department is. It's a great experience, the location of the school is nice and the lessons are mostly interesting.

Final comments
Make sure you have a map of the city, with the public transport on it as well. It's good to know dutch people as well, who can help you if you have a problem or need something. It's good to know that most dutch people speak very good english, so the language shouldn'be a problem.

At home means at my parents, where I didn't have to pay for rent or food. Only for luxuries. The travelling is now less expensive, since I can use my student OV card.

The bills for phoning and internet can be pretty high. It's obvious, but do not use it more often than that you really need it.

The local language is my native language, so that wasn't a problem. The instruction language is English, I had no difficulties with it at all.
