I already had a high knowledge of english before going to Australia but I gained knowledge in specialised business vocabulary and overall in my writing skills. The result is that english is not a foreign language for me anymore, I think in english and mainly could easily work in a english speaking environment!

I had no problems. La Trobe Uni offers a special service for international students where you can have your essays checked or get any other help regarding language problems you might have.

My English is definitely better now. In the beginning I had difficulties in understanding the Aussie slang, but at the end I coped pretty well and even copied some typical Aussie phrases
