The university here provides superb housing. Each person has access to a personal bathroom and a decent sized bedroom that comes clean and fully furnished.

Buy a used bike. A bike is pretty necessary here and relatively cheap. Also, cell phones can be picked up second hand which can also save you some money.

The winter's can be quite cold and dark (so bring warm clothes!) but don't let that bum you out. I have found each of the seasons here to be charming in their own unique ways. Swedes themselves love Spring and Summer especially. Just be prepared. In the long, dark winter months, keep your spirits high by finding fun ways to spend your time!
