Socializing in Australia is a really easy task. Locals are generally interested in foreigners and it is equally interesting to learn the well-known 'aussie' accent. ON the other hand, it is true that it takes a little while to get used to the local expressions and accentuation but overall, the Australian English is very similar to the British English. Additonally, the great level of interaction between students and lecturers enhances the students ability to argue in front a large groups of people. Though, this experince has helped me to further improved my english skills. Monash is a great place to study abroad.

Overall it was pretty easy since the languages we the same. The difference in accents made it a little difficult, but you adjust to that rather quickly. Some terminology is varied and can lead to funny conversations.

I spoke english so communication was very easy to me. It took a little while to get used to the slang, but that was part of the fun.
