Once in a while, at night, go on the balcony, have a smoke, althow it could be -25 C ... but it is very likely that you could see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) ... it is such a beautifull thing !!!

look for second hand shops... there are a few in the city center and you can find al lot of nice sports gear. If you buy a bike, it is around 35-50 euro, but is very hard to sell when departing, so .. think twice, specialy if you have to spent the winter here.

Specific country yet worth visiting and staying for longer (but not for life!) If you like nature, it's perfect place for traveling in wilderness. Young, but not only, Finnish people are really nice (not everybody of course) and sociable, on contrary to the myth about that concerns rather older generation.
