Well, there is always place to go in Oulu, whenever. I really love the city, its possibilities, its orders. I was captivated. I really can imagine to live in Oulu.... The note of cafe...well, the system of coffee arrival I do not like at all, but B-Bar and "our Jazz Pub" (the wooden one in the marketplace, in the middle)... I love the city!!!

Housing was pretty good, quite small (but we R used to)...I was satisfied. The best was the "international family" we had there.

Finland is comparing to the Czech Rep. very expensive, the exchange rate of CZK/euro is very high. Without grants is Finland nearly impossible country to visit.

1) buy the selected brands of food (EuroShopper, Rainbow, Pirkka),
2) Alcohol is better to bring or to buy on trips to Tallinn or Russia :)),
3)Common trips are cheaper.

The waiting for results of exams is "neverending story". It is really too long not to know month after exam the result. At my home Uni, teachers have to give U results max. next day (in the case of all-faculty courses - next week)!!! So the improvement? Be more quick!!!

For sure buy bike, second-hand one (about 50e, not more!!!)
Tallinn, Riga - great places to see. Quite cheap flights - www.Blue1.com, www.ryanair.com.
Use every offered possibility to do something, to travel somewhere.....spend the time in Finland actively.

I was amazed how all Finns R fluent in English and I was ashamed of my knowledge in the beginning. I had no problems with communication, language etc.
