it was a great experience and i do recommend it. russia is a difficult country, but I got used to it very fast. I just loved it. nothing else to say.

Travel as much as possible, you have all the possibilities to do so. There are trains that go to almost any place. A must see place is St. Petersburg.

The level of bureaucracy is tremendously high. Everything takes a lot of time. Courses are mostly interesting. But only a few profs speak good English.
