Not friendly for international students
Nalan
Italy, Graduate
, 2022
Overall
It's a good school in terms of academic career and quality of the courses. Nevertheless, for an international student studying abroad it is full of disappointments. Firstly, they don't set the Italian language as a prerequisite to enroll but when you enter the campus, very few of the office workers can speak English which makes our lives harder. Furthermore, those workers generally have this supercilious manner as if they have a right to be mad at us because we don't speak Italian. Well actually, even the professors are not very comfortable about speaking English. I feel like my English got worse along with the years I've spent here. About the residences, the management isn't student friendly at all, eg. we were able to store our stuff in the residence when they make us check out for only 20 days at the end of the semester, now we are also forced to store them elsewhere and we have to pay for the storage and transportation, of course. Recently, they changed the policy for placements of students into the rooms, they used to respect the students when they wanted to keep staying with their roommates in the upcoming years. Now, they place people randomly without respecting their comfort and friendship they established. These regulations might be less struggling for local students, but international students don't have their families to help you with all those things, and the closest thing we have to a family is our friends, but they don't even respect to that. As an international student, I don't feel like appreciated or cared about.

The best Engineering school in the Fashion capital
BRIAN K
Italy, Graduate
Environmental Sciences, 2021
Overall
When I first sought admission to Politecnico di Milano, I saw that it was highly ranked as the best Engineering school in Italy. After having finished the first year here, I can confirm that it truly is the best in Italy if not in Europe. This is due to the quality of courses and Professors who are meticulous in their dissemination of knowledge. The exams here are tough but very insightful. You come out as a different person after every exam. Students here are multinationals and I have really benefited and learnt a lot about different cultures.

Best Italian's technical university, by far!

Overall
I did spent my 5 years in an international environment: during my master of science we had 36 different nationalities. Thanks to this and thanks to the team building approach i developed skills as problem solver in not typical situation. The courses are very professional, with some "new generation" items: desing optioneering, as example, is a course on the parametric desing approach. Just a small problem is regarding the carreere service, it's a good one, but could be improve expecailly regarding the abroad's opportunities.
