Personal spending habits
Less for the telephone because all friends lived in the same building, so there was actually no need to call each other, it was easy to come by each other rooms.
Accomodation was more expensive because in my home country I live home, and on average Stockholm accomodations are more expensive than in Rome.
Nightlife is more expensive expecially because alcol in Sweden is taxed by the state and this makes pubs, restaurants and bars more expensive.

I was lucky because I already spoke a pretty good English, so I did not have some problems at the beginning like someone experienced. Swedish people both inside and outside the university environment speaks an eccellent English.
After my stay in Sweden my fluency improved a lot and my vocabulary has become much larger.
