Housing
Type of housing: a student house
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: that same student house
Why?
Because in Bostock House all the Erasmus-student live closely together. It's good to have all these social contacts with people experiencing the same as you, especially when you're far away from home.

The accomodation is very basic, but that's all right. That way you learn to appreciate the simple things (cliché, but true) and you learn to separate the things you really need from the luxury you have at home that you can do without. You'll feel a lot lighter once you've experienced how little you need to go by -but a couch is something everybody should have :) The housing not being too comfortable will also help to reduce your Bostock-homesickness afterwards. The only things that irritated me was people waking you up in the midst of night when they came home blind drunk. But maybe that's part of experiencing the culture.

Housing
Type of housing: A big building with hundreds of rooms
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: A big building with hundreds of rooms
Why?
We were living in that old building with all other Erasmusstudents, so we got to know them very well. It was good craic, even if it was an old building with not that much facilities. No showers, an old kitchen, but there was a washing machine you could use for free.

It's great to be all together with the other Eramsus students in one building, all though sometimes the lack of basic facilities can be hard.

The warden isn't the nicest person, and sometimes the other inhabitants of the building can be a pain in the neck. If you manage to keep your head cool (and don't start thinking you live in the Big Brother house) you'll be fine.

The rooms weren't really big, and it was not so clean, but it wasn't expensive and the athmosphere was really good and it was only a five minute walk from school, and not expensive. It was the best choice we had and I really liked it

Even though the house was old and dirty and was nice to be together with the whole Erasmus group all the time. So you never felt alone and had the opportunity to meet lots of people.

It's good that the accomodation is so nearby to the University and that you stay together with so many people, but the warden is always grumpy and doesn't do her work as well as she should. And it's the same with the cleaning staff - it never really works. The House needs some new showers, too ( cause there are none at all by now and people have to go over to University for taking a shower). But all in all I would say that we had a great time in this accomodation.
