Costumbres personales de gasto
Food: I hardly cook here so I tend to rely too much on instant food, which of course, is cheaper.
Telephone: Overseas call is certainly more expensive.
Accomodation: The cost of staying in the dorm here is definitely higher compared to what I paid for the hostel in my home university, but then again, the room is much bigger here.
Nightlife: It is the best way of knowing more friends and keeping myself relaxed. Hence, as an exchange student, I wouldnt mind spending more money on such social events.
Travel: There's so much to see when one is abroad. And I have always wanted to travel in Europe. Being in Denmark makes it a central location to visit almost all parts of Europe, which I hope to do in time to come.
Overall: The cost of living is certainly higher than in Singapore.

To save money on food, cook with the international students or locals in your dormitory. This not only bring your cost down, but at the same time, u get to know them much better and have the opportunity to eat "international" meals all the time.

Idiomas
Idioma de instrucción: Inglés
¿Fue aprender Inglés fue un factor importante de elección?
No, no lo fue.
Comentario personal
Using English does not pose a problem to me at all since this is the language that I use in my home university. However, with the European students who are more familiar with their own native languages obviously, an effort must be made on my part to try to understand the message that they are bringing across. Thus, for a preject meeting to end well, I have to take the initiative to start the ball rolling and give constructive ideas during the meeting. But it is important to know that they often have great ideas as well, but they just need a little more time to express themselves using English. However, the Danes have an exceptionally good standard of English relative to other Europeans, thus, communication with the adminstration poses no problem at all.

Factores imporantes para mi elección
(1) Sin importancia – (4) Muy importante
Recomendación personal
It might not be as systematic as my home university. I have heard friends complain about how administration things are so much easier to deal with back home. From another perspective, you can say that they are very flexible. In other words, begin more relaxed about rules tend to allow them to adapt to the needs of an exchange student better. If one wants to experience a small university town and make friends easily through parties every week, then this is definitely the place to come to...=)

Estudios
Recomendaciones de cursos
The course: "Intercultural Communication in a European context" is extremely good. Not only are the contents of the course very relevant and interesting, the tutor is able to bring his message across easily. Enthusiastic participation among students allows active and lively classroom atmosphere to dominate. And of course, it is more interesting to hear the views of the European students regarding their cultures.

It has been great so far, but the courses that are offered are pretty limited at the Bachelor level. Hence it would have been so much better for me if more management courses have been offered since I am specializing in that field.

Comentario personal
Living in an all Danish dormitory is indeed one of the biggest challenges in my stay in Denmark. While the Danes are very good in their English, they tend to speak Danish all the time, and I, being the only exchange student, makes it seem so hard to communicate with them at first. Well, things turn out much better than I expected and right now, I have already integrated into this small "family" in my dorm. They really make me feel so welcomed and in fact, the lanuguage barrier does not seem as strong as it started out with. Perhaps, my Danish course in school helps a little. But the opportunity to know the locals is certainly a fantastic experience for me. It can be quite hard for any exchange student, living alone with 12 other Danish students. But fortunately for me, the cultural differences are easily dissolved and I can confidently say that I have made a quick adjustment to my life in Denmark.
