rent is cheap compared with the standard of living (+20% more than in Belgium) Some friends of mine lived quite far away from the center (30 min by bike!)... that could be a problem so take care of it

linguistic immersion is the only effective way to learn a language. I could read english and express myself a bit but after this erasmus experience, I was able to communicate, understand native speakers and chat with them rather correctly. since danish do not have english as a mother tongue language (though they have a solid knowledge of it) and that they are reluctant to speak with foreigners, I spoke english mostly with other erasmus students (most of them are coming from spain)

go to ALDI!!!

Visit the top-north (the greatest -and the only!- place to visit is at the top of Dk where Atlantic and Baltic meet) and Aalborg. Of course Copenhagen but there's not so much to do. Stockholm if you can (with a rail-pass of two weeks, that's the cheapest) Hamburg and Berlin : not so far, rent a van with others it won't cost you a lot.
