I wish I had known...
In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
I hope to benefit from the relations of the university with private sector, which i had not yet. In this sense, i think it is not powerful. But the Netherlands has opportunities for international students, and it has perfect connections via plane, train or bus to other countries. It is perfect if you like to travel.

Holland is not the most beautiful country in the world, neither is its population but study there is gorgeous(maybe it's the same everywhere)and this is a country where you fell the freedom and the tolerance -yep it's not only a stereotype! as a travel you should go to dan hague, also spend an afternoon in utrech, ride your bike till giethoorn, and of course walk along amsterdam's canals while eating dutch fries!

Languages
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
Given the dialect of the Dutch language there was quite a barrier to learning it- however if one persisted it is not that hard once the initial vocal pronounciations were mastered.

Tilburg gets easily boring after a while; but there are nice places as Cul de Sac, Kandinsky, Paradox, Studio. Often we prefer though do jump on a train and go out in another city.

Housing
Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
It ýs because I know the city better and I have friends there. It would be an opportunity for me to find a cheaper and better accommodation. I believe if I leave in an apartment, it would be more easier to welcome my friends and spend time with them.

I am quite satisfied with my room, but there are some other dormitories that are far and you have to ride bike for half an hour. It is really difficult in The Netherlands with rainy weather. Moreover, it is obvious that the housing company is charging us more rent than the Dutch students living in the same building. That is because we are new and we donot have any other choices when we came here at first. However, they have caretakers for the dorm and these people are deaing with all the problems of us.
