For the first 3 month,I lived on campus;generally spoken the rooms were not that bad,however as mentioned above,far to expensive for Chinese living standards, therefore it's better living off campus enjoying better housing at almost the same price.

My recommendation if you have enough of fancy places after a while:
Go to "Logo", if you like small, dark clubs with wonderful combination of life music and minimal house.

it's pretty difficult to communicate when your not fluent at all. But with the time, and with patience, everythings get better, people take the time to listen to you.
